Dropped by Sato Ramen with some friends for dinner on a cold Friday evening. The restaurant was cozy, and the service was quick. We all ordered the original tonkotsu ramen & the chicken karaage. We were all happy with our orders, & would rec this ramen spot if you're in the mood for some soup noodles during this "cold" LA winter.

My boyfriend and I have been looking to expand our ramen restaurants and we're glad we found a spot with delicious mazesoba! I indulged in the classic tonkotsu ramen--I loved that the broth was flavorful but not too fatty. I had plenty for leftovers. My boyfriend highlighted that each of the mazesoba's ingredients/toppings complimented each other perfectly. Not only was the food tasty, but the restaurant was tidy and the service was quick and friendly.

Solid ramen spot that is open on Christmas day. They weren't overly busy and plenty of seating for lunch. I got the yuzu shio ramen, which has a light broth with a slight citrus flavor. I will have to say that I've had better yuzu shio ramen elsewhere with stronger yuzu flavor but this wins for the area and they do give a good amount of thick chashu. Also my boyfriend's spicy tonkotsu ramen didn't really deliver much of a kick and he felt it doesn't quite live up to the "hell ramen" they advertise as, but they do have plenty of spicy seasoning on the table to help with it. Overall I think they do a good job on the noodle texture though and I appreciate I can get a lighter broth. Parking available as street or you can park in the lot across Raymond for $1 in the first two hours.

Came here for dinner and loved the artwork on the walls. Yelp reviews gave a lot of love for this place and I'm about to do the same: We all ordered the three different kinds of ramen: shoyu, tonkatsu, and yuzu. The yuzu is most different and has the citrus notes. Portion is quite filling and fair prices. Attentive service. Appetizer was the rolled egg and a very nice twist to it as the last time I had it was in Japan. Highly recommend coming here! Parking is nearby at $1 for 90 min or short walk from Memorial or Del Mar station.

We went here when it was drizzling, perfect for ramen kind of day. When wet came at 7 Friday night, the wait wasn't bad at all. But a little while after that, the number of people waiting increased dramatically. The menu is simple & short.

This place was great! ... for the SGV... in the area. I don't want to upsell it too much, even though I already see large waits outside at peak times. This is something I did not experience when I went the first time. It is remarkably easy to find street parking - which I find surprising this close to a major intersection of Old Town Pasadena (which can always be a nightmare). When I went, there was no wait. The food is very good. Unless you are a skilled ramen artisan, I might not order the Deluxe Mazesoba w/poached egg. It was not appreciated as much as the rest of the food, but we never had that before. The beef gyoza (8 pcs.) were excellent, and the spicy tonkatsu ramen was superb. Service was very friendly and attentive. The place is pretty small inside, so either get there early or expect to wait outside in the heat or cold. Nonetheless, in the area, this is the BEST! (at least that I found so far; I'll let you know in my reviews if that changes if you follow me)

This restaurant checks all the right boxes: excellent food, attentive service, a relaxed atmosphere that's not overcrowded, and prices that won't break the bank. Its location in Old Pasadena, just off Colorado Boulevard, is an added bonus. But let me tell you what truly sets this place apart--the chicken strip appetizer. These are no ordinary chicken strips. Perfectly cooked with a flavor that lingers long after the last bite, they've set up permanent residence in my daydreams. Honestly, I'm fantasizing about my next visit as I write this. A meal worth savoring--especially if you start with the chicken strips!

My friend suggested to come here for her early birthday dinner and it was a good choice. Sato Ramen House is located right across from one of the main parking structure in Old Pas. The parking was convenience and only $1 for 90 minutes. We started the night with two appetizers. We got the tofu and seaweed salad and the karaage fried chicken. Both starters were good. Next, I got the tonkotsu ramen. This ramen was great. I like the chew on the noodles and the flavor of the soup. The best part was they offer you a chili paste where you can add how much heat you want into your ramen. It made my ramen so much better. The service was super friendly. They also offer beef bowl, mazesoba, and curry bowls. Overall, a great place to check out if you are craving a big bowl of ramen.

The staff was so kind to waitlist us over the phone on a Saturday. Our seats were ready when we arrived. I ordered Tonkotsu Ramen and it was so rich and flavorful. The noodles were cooked right. Pork Katsu was cooked deliciously, it wasn't overcooked, quality meat. Public parking building isacross the street, very cheap pricing. We will definitely be back here.
